Born in Sarasota, Florida to immigrant parents from the Caribbean, I grew up in Los Angeles, California. I have earned my Bachelor of Arts in African Studies and Photography at Hunter College in New York City and am currently based in Washington, D.C. Having lived in different countries and environments, I have a heighten awareness of both emigrant cultures and those living in transitional flux. My subject matter surveys sub-cultures within urban settings. Be it documenting a NYC subway singer’s journey throughout Europe on an impromptu street tour or creating portraits of men as they gossip and indulge in barbershop rituals, my images speak of human nature. My work has been published in print and online, and is exhibited in the states and abroad.
